When it comes to Cambodia, there are certainly more than enough reasons to come visit, including the beautiful and historical Angkor Wat complex in Siem Reap, the increasingly buzz-worthy coastal town of Sihanoukville and the growing urban hub of Phnom Penh. For all the meat lovers of the world, here are a few favorite places in Phnom Penh to get a great meal.

Viva Restaurant
For a little south of the border, this place has some of the best tacos and burritos in the entire region, hands down. Located in the heart of downtown Phnom Penh, Viva has not only the benefit of some seriously delicious Mexican, it also sits in a two-story building that has plenty of space to accommodate its many fans. For $1.50, you can try one of a multitude of margaritas, from mango, to strawberry, to your everyday lime margarita. Do yourself a big favor and start off with either a fish, chicken or beef taco (only a buck each). These succulent little treats will line your stomach before getting down on either chimichanga or bean and meat filled cheesy burrito, both an excellent choice.
Located on Sisowath Quay along the river front.
T-Bone Steakhouse
Arguably the best place to get a steak in the city, T-Bone is a mid- to high-end restaurant located near Independence Monument on Monivong Boulevard and offers both local and imported beef. Complete with an extensive wine list, this is the perfect place to enjoy date night in the city. And here is the kicker, even for a higher-end place like this in Phnom Penh, the meal will still only cost you less than $20 per person, so do not be afraid to splurge on a nice ice-cream doused brownie afterward.
Street 13, near the riverside
It would be flat out wrong not to include at least one Cambodian joint on this list. Khmer barbeques/beer gardens are not only delicious and affordable, but they also have some of the freshest and most delicious meat dishes you can get. On street 13 near the river, (crossing with street 154) you can spot a strip of cow-roasts and several restaurants feeding dozens of locals in a high-tempo, beer loving atmosphere. Perhaps the greatest thing you will taste all vacation will be the beef steak with roasted Kampot peppers. The peppers are so subtle and beautiful that you can chew the cooked peppercorns right off of the twig. Although there are a lot of great, tasty meals you can get here, you are pretty much out of luck if you are a vegetarian, so be warned.
Topaz Restaurant
The most expensive place on this list, Topaz is also the highest of high class. Complete with gorgeous outdoor seating, a steak dinner here is as tantalizing as anywhere else in the region. The perfect date night destination, a meal here is prepared by some of the best chefs in town, and with a wine cellar that will knock your socks off. Ask your friendly waiter about which pairings match meals, and let your taste buds be your guide.
Located at 182 Norodom Boulevard.
Mike’s Burger
Owned by a gentleman who used to flip his famous burgers in California, Mike’s is the best burger in town. Not the most conveniently located restaurant in the world, you can find it on Confederation De La Russie on the way out to the airport. You will quickly notice it was worth the effort when you sink your teeth into one of his many burgers… and there are many. From the onion lover’s burger to the pork BBQ burger to one of the multi-paddy burgers, it’s the closest you’ll come to an authentic American burger.
