Write for Us

Viator is always accepting pitches for submissions to our Travel Blog as well as looking for more writers to add to our database for future assignments.

We work with contributors in a few different ways.

1) We accept pitches for feature-length contributions.

For these, we’re looking for articles that share an insider's view of travel, such as:

- informative and inspirational travel articles that are smart and well-written, immerse the reader in a new place, reveal something about the culture and share something new about travel.

- destination articles can focus on one city, country, or region and can include destination guides, themed lists based on a particular interest, or photo essays based on a theme, but they need to offer more than a "top 10" list of the destination's highlights.

- themed roundups can look at the world, a region, or travel in general from a particular angle, like food and drink, adventure activities or romance

We're open to most topics (which don't have to correlate to to places we offer tours), with the exception of extreme budget travel, extreme luxury travel, dangerous destinations, one-off events that have already passed, travel news or gear reviews.

Currently, we're specifically in need of articles on Belfast, Quebec City, Warsaw, Norway, China, Monaco, Lithuania, Thai Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Antigua, Lebanon, Puerto Rico, St Maarten, Tahiti, Oman, the US state of Georgia, Toronto, Dallas, Key West and Miami, St Augustine, Tampa, Sedona & Flagstaff, and Phoenix.

Submissions for our Travel Blog should be original (your own work and not appearing elsewhere online) and can range in length from 1000 to 2000 words (most are 1200-1600). Standard payment is $100-$150.

To submit an article idea for consideration, please fill out the form below. Please be specific (a destination in itself is not an article idea) and explain how you would approach your topic.

2) We work with destination experts who contribute multiple articles on an ongoing basis for our Things to Do sites.

These posts are shorter, about 300-500 words, and payment is $40-$45 per post.

Join our database for future assignments to be considered for an ongoing contributor role.

3) We do accept guest posts

We accept guest posts from other bloggers, but we only link to noncommercial sites. All work must be original and not appearing elsewhere.

We'll contact you within 2-3 weeks if the idea is a good fit for Viator.
