Editor’s Note: Viator recently held a contest to “Win Your Dream Travel Job” where we selected 4 finalists to travel the world shooting video. For 60 days, these teams traveled and filmed in some of the world’s top destinations, documenting their experiences along the way. Go here to watch their unforgettable journey!

The next stop on Team Europe’s journey was Barcelona! They said ciao to the gelato and pizza in Venice and Italy and hopped on a plane to Spain, where they spent time playing on the beach, making paella, and riding around in fancy cars.

As they were traveling, Ryan and Asha filmed hundreds of hours of footage, which includes dozens of Viator tours plus some fun behind-the-scenes moments. Stay tuned for more tour video updates in the coming months, and in the meantime check out a recap of some of the adventures they captured on their iPad!

Day 1

To get familiarized with Barcelona, Ryan and Asha met up with Anthony Jacobson, a top-rated Viator private guide. Originally from the United States, Anthony is fluent in English, Spanish, AND Catalan making him the perfect guide for our two English-speaking travelers!

That afternoon they went on a tour of the FC Barcelona Football Stadium, where they got to walk on the field, get a panoramic view of the stadium, and visit the Barcelona Football Museum.

Day 2

On a Barcelona City and Coast Helicopter Tour, they saw many of the city’s iconic landmarks and beautiful coast from a unique perspective.

Then that afternoon they picked up some Spanish kitchen skills at a Barcelona Cooking Class. There they learned to make a 4-course Spanish banquet, including a giant paella!

As they are slowly being weaned off their Italian gelato addiction, they got their frozen dessert fix with a giant ice cream cone:

Day 3

After seeing the city from above, the team jumped on a Barcelona Hop-on Hop-off tour to see the attractions up-close!

Later they took a Barcelona Scooter Tour, which took them to more famous sights. By now the team has experienced all kinds of transportation on their trip: buses, planes, trains, Segways, bicycles, and scooters!

A highlight of the day included admiring the architecture of La Pedrera, La Sagrada Familia, and Park Güell:

Day 4

A trip to Catalonia wouldn’t be complete without a chance to try cava, the local wine. Ryan and Asha got to tour cava wine cellars and learn how its made on a Sitges and Freixenet’s Cava Wine Cellars Day Trip from Barcelona.

They spent their last night in Barcelona enjoying Flamenco Night at Tablao Cordobes, where many internationally famous dancers have performed.
