Editor’s Note: Viator recently held a contest to “Win Your Dream Travel Job” where we selected 4 finalists to travel the world shooting video. For 60 days, these teams traveled and filmed in some of the world’s top destinations, documenting their experiences along the way. Go here to watch their unforgettable journey!
From Maui, Jules and Brock went to the Big Island of Hawaii for their LAST stop on their 60-day journey! Kona was a great place to end their trip–it’s beautiful and there are tons of unique activities. Let’s see what they did on their final three days of traveling…
On a 50-Minute Open-Door Volcanoes Helicopter Flight–a total adventure of a lifetime–the team experienced (and felt the heat from) live volcanic activity. The flight also includes breathtaking views of the Big Island’s lush forests and tropical waterfalls!
Brock and Jules enjoyed more amazing views of the island at Hawaii Volcano National Park on a Kilauea Volcano Small Group Adventure Tour. Traveling over 300 miles around the Big Island, they saw Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea and climbed to the summit of Kilauea Volcano.
On their last day of traveling, Brock and Jules experienced the picturesque beauty of Hawaii on a Big Island Keauhou Bay Kayaking and Snorkeling Cave Tour. They got to dive beneath the surface and discover an underwater world of coral landscapes and tropical fish, kayaked around Keauhou Bay, and jumped off a cliff!
There’s a reason why the Manta Ray Night Snorkel from Kona was voted “one of the top 10 things to do in your life” by the Travel Channel! Brock and Jules also named this one of their favorite tours and recommend that every visitor to Kona experiences it. On the tour, they got to swim with the gentle giant manta rays in the dark, and Brock was left speechless by how amazing it was. Sounds like the perfect tour to end their adventure!
