Editor’s Note: Viator recently held a contest to “Win Your Dream Travel Job” where we selected 4 finalists to travel the world shooting video. For 60 days, these teams traveled and filmed in some of the world’s top destinations, documenting their experiences along the way. Go here to watch their unforgettable journey!
At the LA Comedy Club at Cabo Wabo at Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, the team enjoyed a night of laughs with some of the best, hippest and brightest comics on the circuit. The intimate showroom at Cabo Wabo has a panoramic view overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, so it was a great spot for the team to spend their first night in the city.
On a Mini Baja Buggy Half-Day Tour from Las Vegas, Jules and Brock drove between 10 and 15 miles over some aggressive and challenging Nevada terrain. All the buggies are custom built for the rugged land, and come equipped with roll cages, seatbelts and helmets for safety. Sounds a bit scary, but is really fun!
Then they went on a another adventure with the Grand Canyon All American Helicopter Tour, which is one of Viator’s most popular Las Vegas tours. This tour took them on an exhilarating helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon, complete with a champagne picnic deep in the canyon.
The next day, Jules and Brock got to see the Grand Canyon from another angle on the Grand Canyon West Rim Air and Ground Day Trip from Las Vegas. This flight took them over the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, and then they landed for a hop-on hop-off bus tour of the West Rim. A BBQ lunch was provided, and the team also opted to check out the see-though floor of the Skywalk.
That night the team saw their first Vegas show, The Rat Pack is Back at the Rio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, which features such great classics as “New York, New York” and “That’s Amore.”
The Deluxe Grand Canyon South Rim Airplane Tour includes a deluxe flight to the Grand Canyon South Rim on an executive-style airplane and time to hike though the national park and enjoy the stunning views.
It wouldn’t be a trip to Las Vegas without a Cirque du Soleil show! That evening, the team saw KÀ™ by Cirque du Soleil® at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, which uses acrobatic performances, the thrills and action of martial art techniques from all over the world, plus innovations in puppetry and multimedia to tell an epic tale.
On a Hoover Dam Hummer Tour, Brock and Jules were picked up in style in a Hummer H2 and taken to the famous Hoover Dam. There they learned about this incredible landmark and also took an elevator 500 feet (152.4 m) down into the walls of the Black Canyon to see the power plant generators.
The Las Vegas Gun Store and Firing Range is a unique shooting experience in which the team was able to shoot with handguns and shotguns before taking aim with a fully automatic machine gun! They certainly were able to quite a range of experiences in Las Vegas–from shows and sightseeing to some pretty adventurous activities such as this one.
For their last tour, the team got to see the Grand Canyon from yet another angle–in the canyon!–on a Grand Canyon Rafting Trip from Las Vegas.
Next stop: Los Angeles!
