Editor’s Note: Viator recently held a contest to “Win Your Dream Travel Job” where we selected 4 finalists to travel the world shooting video. For 60 days, these teams traveled and filmed in some of the world’s top destinations, documenting their experiences along the way. Go here to watch their unforgettable journey!
From the green and outdoorsy Vancouver, Jules and Brock flew to the lovely French-Canadian city of Montreal. Then they spent a few days exploring, trying new foods, and seeing the best that Quebec has to offer!
As they were traveling, Jules and Brock filmed hundreds of hours of footage, which includes dozens of Viator tours plus some fun behind-the-scenes moments. Stay tuned for more tour video updates in the coming months, and in the meantime check out a recap of some of the adventures they captured on their iPad!
Day 1
To get acquainted with their new city, Jules and Brock went on a Montreal Half-Day Bike Tour. Like Segway tours, bike tours are a fun way to see an unfamiliar destination (or even one that you know well!) because you cover more ground than if you were walking and you get to stop for photo-ops as often as you’d like. The team took advantage of this, snapping photos and having a great time.
Hop-on hop-off tours also make seeing a city easy. With the Montreal City Hop-on Hop-off Tour, Jules and Brock set their own itinerary and stopped off at whichever attractions they wanted to see.
Day 2
The Flavors of Old Montreal Walking Tour took the team on a culinary tour of Montreal’s oldest district, and they got to try delicious macaroons, cheeses, patés and more!
Day 3
After seeing much of Montreal and trying its foods, Jules and Brock (“Brules”?) headed out of town on a Quebec City and Montmorency Falls Day Trip from Montreal. Quebec City is known as the “historic heart” of French Canada because of its old-world atmosphere, narrow streets, and treasures from the past. The team also got to see the nearby Montmorency Falls, which are higher than Niagara!
They also enjoyed poutine, a classic Canadian dish that consists of French fries covered in gravy and cheese curds.
Next stop: Toronto & Niagara Falls!
