Editor’s Note: Viator recently held a contest to “Win Your Dream Travel Job” where we selected 4 finalists to travel the world shooting video. For 60 days, these teams traveled and filmed in some of the world’s top destinations, documenting their experiences along the way. Go here to watch their unforgettable journey!

For the next portion of their adventure, Ryan and Asha left Prague and Martina behind and returned to Germany. This time they were in Munich, home of Oktoberfest and the capital of Bavaria. Read on to see what they did during their four days in Munich!

As they were traveling, Ryan and Asha filmed hundreds of hours of footage, which includes dozens of Viator tours plus some fun behind-the-scenes moments. Stay tuned for more tour video updates in the coming months, and in the meantime check out a recap of some of the adventures they captured on their iPad!

Day 1

On a bus from Prague, Team Europe drove through the countryside across the border to Germany.

Munich, here we come!

Day 2

On a day trip from Munich, Ryan and Asha visited the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, which stands on the grounds of the former concentration camp.

Then that evening they enjoyed some German nightlife on a Bavarian Beer and Food Evening Tour in Munich.

Day 3

The team left town and headed into the Bavarian mountains where King Ludwig II built his Royal Castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. Unfortunately it was a foggy day, so the famous sights were mostly cloaked behind the clouds.

“Still magical,” Ryan says.

Day 4

On the Munich City Hop-on Hop-off Tour, Ryan and Asha hopped aboard an open-top double-decker bus and hopped off at several major attraction points including Hofbrauhaus, the National Theater, Royal Palace, and the Marienplatz:

Their Munich trip ended with a Hitler and the Third Reich Munich Walking Tour, which took them on a historical tour of the city’s dark past.

From enjoying beers and music at bars, to befriending a German salamander, to hearing somber stories from the Nazi period, Team Europe covered quite a wide range of activities in Munich!

Next stop: Vienna!
