Editor’s Note: Viator recently held a contest to “Win Your Dream Travel Job” where we selected 4 finalists to travel the world shooting video. For 60 days, these teams traveled and filmed in some of the world’s top destinations, documenting their experiences along the way. Go here to watch their unforgettable journey!
After Madrid, it was onto their second-to-last destination, Paris! Ahh, Paris, what’s not to love?! Ryan and Asha certainly enjoyed themselves while getting stuffed on baguettes, going on bike rides, and napping by the Eiffel Tower. With six days here and only one city left, the team is almost at the end of their fun-filled 60-day adventure…
As they were traveling, Ryan and Asha filmed hundreds of hours of footage, which includes dozens of Viator tours plus some fun behind-the-scenes moments. Stay tuned for more tour video updates in the coming months, and in the meantime check out a recap of some of the adventures they captured on their iPad!
Day 1
The team got introduced to the City of Love in style with a Paris by Citroen 2CV tour. They rode around the Arc de Triomphe, past the Eiffel Tower, and got a glimpse of the city from a cool and classic French car.
Day 2
On the Paris City Hop-on Hop-off Tour, Ryan and Asha got to see the city at their leisure, hopping on and off the bus whenever they wanted to see more of a particular attraction. Some highlights of the tour were Notre Dame and the famous Louvre.
That evening, they enjoyed a show at the oldest traditional French cabaret in the world with the Paris Paradis Latin Dinner and Show. The show included fabulous dancers, costumes, music and theatrical effects, plus dinner and champagne–the total French package!
Day 3
Although Paris is lovely, it’s nice to get out of the city! The Versailles and Giverny Day Trip took Ryan and Asha to the Versailles palace to learn about France’s royal history, and then they toured the Giverny gardens that inspired many of Claude Monet’s masterpieces.
Day 4
In a five-hour Paris City Tour that includes a Seine River Cruise and Eiffel Tower visit, Team Europe enjoyed views of Paris from a coach, a cruise, and from the second-floor of the Eiffel Tower!
Day 5
It was a busy day for Ryan and Asha! First, they went behind the scenes of a boulangerie with a French Bakery Tour in Paris. They learned the secrets of French breads and pastries and even got to sample a freshly baked French baguette and a croissant!
Then they continued brushing up on their French culinary skills with a French Cooking Class in Paris, which taught them how to cook a three-course Parisian banquet. Yum!
Their day ended with a French Wine Tasting in Paris, where they also hosted a meet-and-greet with 20 Viator customers. Everyone was able to learn about French wine, sample a few different types, and meet Ryan and Asha!
Day 6
After seeing Paris by Citroen, bus, foot, and river cruise, all that was left was by bike and Segway. The Versailles by Bike Day Tour allowed them to see much more of the palace grounds than they could have on foot. And it included a picnic by the Grand Canal!
Then the Paris City Segway Tour allowed them to cruise through parks and along sidewalks while hearing fascinating stories about the city from their guide. The tour also took them by the Louvre at sunset–lovely!
Next stop: London!
