Editor’s Note: Viator recently held a contest to “Win Your Dream Travel Job” where we selected 4 finalists to travel the world shooting video. For 60 days, these teams traveled and filmed in some of the world’s top destinations, documenting their experiences along the way. Go here to watch their unforgettable journey!

After a fun few days in Boston, Jules and Brock flew to another US city famous for its historical monuments, Washington DC. With all the tours the team has taken in these two cities, the team will be experts on American history!

As they were traveling, Jules and Brock filmed hundreds of hours of footage, which includes dozens of Viator tours plus some fun behind-the-scenes moments. Stay tuned for more tour video updates in the coming months, and in the meantime check out a recap of some of the adventures they captured on their iPad!

Day 1

That morning the team left the rainy Boston airport and arrived in DC. They spent a day on their own, enjoying sushi and sunshine before embarking on a Washington DC Monuments by Moonlight Night Tour by Trolley.

The monuments are magnificent during the day, but they are even more stunning lit-up at night!

Day 2

Mt Vernon

With a 2-Day Washington DC Hop-on Hop-off Tour, Brock and Jules hopped on a bus and were able to stop at any of 51 stops throughout the city. The ticket valid is for two consecutive days, so you don’t have to try to squeeze everything into one day. Stops along the routes include the U.S. Capitol, Ford’s Theater, and the White House.

Day 3

The National Mall Walking Tour in Washington DC took the team around the country’s ‘front yard’, giving them the chance to learn about and see dozens of famous buildings, monuments and memorials, including the Smithsonian Institution Building, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Washington Monument.

Afterwards they brushed up on their Segway skills with a Washington DC Segway Tour. Their guide shared both the history and stories surrounding the sites and they had plenty of photo opportunities.

Next stop: New York City!
