I was in Hawaii last week, on the island of Oahu, and took the chance to personally check out the Oahu Shark Dive we offer. You know, sharks. In a cage. Under the water.
Yeah, sounded pretty good I thought.
Frankly, it wasn’t the best time… there had been a storm the day before, waves were running at 25-35 feet on the North Shore beaches, and generally speaking the seas had been angry of late. But sharks live below the surface, I figured, so they would probably not be affected. And I was right, the sharks were out in force, and were happy to have me swim with them. Well, swim inside the cage, anyway. What am I, stupid?
Check out the slide show below, and have a look at some of my photos of the Oahu Shark Dive.If you’re feeling up for it, you can book the Oahu shark dive over on the Viator site.

Wow! A shark diving tour sounds really exciting and something you don’t do every day. Great post! I’ll pass this on to my readers.

I believe that the best shark diving tours are done in The Bahamas. and besides the weather is warmer and the water is more beautiful and cleaner. But you don’t have to take my word for it.

I did some shark feeding dives in Moorea. No cage though. We took down plastic bags of fish heads and tails. We then held them up and as the sharks approached, let go. After a few minutes it started to become a frenzy and the divemaster grab us and we got out of there. It was a fun experience, but not one that I would do again.

It is an incredibly awesome experience that I try to take advantage of once a year or so. Living and diving here on Oahu everyday is a true blessing…… you scuba dive too?
