Dragan Bekcic wasn’t always a tour guide. After working for several years as an electronic engineer, he decided that a good way to get to know his own city (Ljubljana) better was to take a course to become a guide. One thing led to another, and eventually he also passed the state test that allows him to now work in all EU Member countries. That was 10 years ago, and since then, Dragan has traveled and worked as a guide in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, and even a 3-year stint in Turkey.
Since Ljubljana is his home city, Dragan is an expert in guiding people around this part of Slovenia. However, many of his tours start there and journey over to Croatia, ending in Dubrovnik, or vice versa. If a two-country tour is not enough, then Dragan will be more than happy to help you plan and visit other former Yugoslavian countries, such as Serbia and Montenegro.
Dragan, as a tour guide, will do whatever it takes to make sure you have the best time possible in Slovenia – especially since he understands that, “A happy guest will bring over more happy guests.” On offer are architecture, culture, and history discussions during walking or transportation based tours. Just let Dragan know your tour desires, and he will help personalize the journey.
