Kevin, born and raised in the northern Chicago suburb of Andersonville, offers a lifetime of experience to visitors wishing to discover the real Chicago. Additionally, Kevin has 9 years of experience as a tour guide, owns his own tour company known as Wild Onion Walks, and works as a tour guide for the Chicago Trolley and Double Decker. There is no question that Kevin would make for a knowledgeable guide through the wonders of Chi-Town!
With the belief that the best way to discover Chicago is by walking the streets and seeing and meeting locals, he does not normally work on vehicle-based tours. That said, he is well practiced in the vehicle-based tour, and if that is the ultimate desire or need of the client, then it is always a possibility.
Some of the themes for his Chicago tours include history, architecture, ethnic communities, gangster, jazz/blues, and politics. Chicago food – nothing like Chicago deep dish pizza – and Chicago movies make for other favorites to those visiting Chicago for the first time. Basically, Kevin loves Chicago so much that he would be happy to prepare a tour on just about anything relating to his city!
Anyone that visits Chicago can easily walk the streets of Michigan Avenue, visit Millenium Park, and test out a Chicago pizza, but if you want to do all of these and gain a better understanding for the true city of Chicago, then hiring a guide like Kevin should be high on your list.
