Meet Viator’s September Customer of the Month, Stacey Cooper!
Her and her boyfriend (now fiancee) traveled from the UK to Las Vegas for vacation over the summer. It was while on the Grand Canyon All American Helicopter Tour that Stacey’s boyfriend proposed to her.
We caught up with Stacey once she was back home in UK and asked her some questions about her recent Las Vegas holiday and her other travels. Here’s what she had to say:
Why did you take this trip?
We decided to book our holiday to Las Vegas this year as it was going to be my boyfriend’s (now fiancee’s!!) 30th birthday. We wanted to celebrate his birthday in style somewhere really special where we knew we would have memories to cherish forever. This was going to be a slightly different holiday to our usual relaxing beach holiday.
What did you see and do?
We were only going to be staying in Vegas for five nights which only left us with four full days to explore. Therefore we made lots of plans before we left to ensure we managed to see everything we wanted to. On our first day we spent the day exploring the famous strip, this included visiting all of the famous hotels such as the Bellagio, Caesars Palace and the Venetian. On our second day we decided to spend some time chilling out by the pool at our hotel called Treasure Island. We also enjoyed our first Vegas style pool party! Later that evening we enjoyed a lovely meal at a fabulous Italian restaurant called Maggianos and of course ventured into the casinos to play a little black jack and roulette.
We decided to take the amazing Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour on day day as it was my fiancee’s 30th birthday that day. On our last day we took the popular Big Bus Sightseeing Tour around Vegas. This was a brilliant way to explore all the famous sights of Vegas in one day. The red route took us from the start of the strip to the end of the strip where we had our photo taken by the famous ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign. The blue route was a great way to see downtown Vegas and the famous Fremont Street. On our last night we went to see one of Cirque Du Soleil’s famous shows ‘Mystere’ this was amazing and kept you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole performance– it is a must see!
What was your favorite experience?
Our favorite experience was definitely the Grand Canyon All American Helicopter Tour which we booked with Viator. This tour was absolutely amazing and by far the best way to see the Grand Canyon. The views were absolutely breathtaking with clear views of Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. This tour was made even more special as my partner decided to surprise me by proposing!! He chose the most perfect spot, as we were stood at the edge of the canyon taking in the amazing views he pulled out the ring from his pocket! It truly was spectacular with the most amazing views to get engaged! A very special moment we will never forget. On our return flight our pilot flew us over the strip, which was great we took some fantastic snaps. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Vegas it is was absolutely fantastic! And definitely the highlight of our Vegas trip, I wish I could go back today!
What do you love about travelling?
I absolutely love visiting new countries. I enjoy experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. When we visit different countries I enjoy tasting the different foods and traditional cuisines they have to offer. I enjoy mixing with the local people and finding out a little about how they live their lives. Of course you can’t miss doing a spot of shopping in the traditional markets to buy some souvenirs to take home. More than anything I love sightseeing and visiting the famous landmarks in each country. I always make sure I take plenty of photos so I can reminisce about the good times I had in each country in years to come.
What other destinations have been some of your favorites?
One of my favorite places to visit is Egypt. No matter how many times I visit this beautiful country I never get bored. From the moment I step off the plane and embrace the heat I feel at home. This has got to be one of most amazing place to go snorkeling and see some of the most beautiful fish and sea life. Every time we visit we always take a Red Sea VIP boat trip to the Ras Mohammed or Tiran Island where we can enjoy a day of snorkeling around the beautiful coral reefs. I love the culture and nature of the people in this country. The locals are very friendly and are always keen to engage in conversation.
Tunisia is another one of my favorite destinations. The country has a very ancient feel to it and there is always plenty to see and do. One of our favorite spots to visit is the impressive amphitheater of El Jem, this is the largest Roman Colosseum in North Africa and is a must see.
Why do you book tours with Viator?
We booked our Grand Canyon All American Helicopter experience with Viator as our friends recommended the company. We certainly were not disappointed. From the moment we booked our trip we received continuous correspondence and details of our Grand Canyon trip right up until our departure day. We found Viator a very reliable and professional company that provided us with first class service. Our trip to the Grand Canyon was very structured and organised and we felt we were in very safe hands. Viator provided an amazing tour at a good price. I will definitely be booking our future tours with Viator.
