There’s more to The Da Vinci Code than the Louvre

Destinations, Europe

First it was Paris, then London and Rome. Now it’s Scotland’s turn to capitalize on its role in the phenomenon that is Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code.

The Da Vinci Code and Scottish Borders tour, departing from Edinburgh, takes you to Rosslyn Chapel for a lesson in Holy Grail histrionics. The site is stunning in its own right, and the mystery inspired by the famous novel and movie just adds to the experience.

You also visit Melrose Abbey, which has links with the Knights Templar, and is the burial place of Robert the Bruce’s heart. (For those not familiar with Scottish history, Robert the Bruce is the much-loved King of Scots who won Scotland’s independence from England.)

Whether you read the book or saw the movie, or did both, this is a must do on the The Da Vinci Code trail in Europe.
